An ongoing series of plant portraits

This body of work is the current cornerstone of my practice. These are life sized gouache paintings on black paper. Each plant is selected and painted from the specimen. If selected plants are uprooted, they are placed back in-situ when possible. No rare or endangered plants are removed from their natural habitat.
